Brown's Corner
Address Pollard, Boston & Floyd
Built 1750

Not to be confused with Brown's Corner (Shopping Plaza), the shopping plaza.

Brown's Corner is the name of the intersection of Pollard Street, Boston Road, and Floyd Street, and was one of the most important corners in Billerica, serving as a major reference point for travelers and residents alike. It was named after Alfred Brown, whose house was where 7-11 is now. His wife Maria bought the house in 1876, and he lived there for the rest of his life.

The warrant for the 1951 Town Meeting proposed renaming Brown's Corner as Solomon Brothers Square, in honor of Wesley and Albert Solomon, who gave their lives in the service of their country in 1942 and 1944, but the meeting voted to give that name to the plot of land at the corner of Salem Road and Pollard Street.
