Arthur H. Raymond

Arthur H. Raymond is the man for whom the town was asked to name the Little League field behind the Pollard School, the ground now part of Pollard Park on Andover Road. Article 42 of the warrant for the annual town meeting of March 1958, entered by Jeremiah Mulcahy and others, asked the town "to name the Little League Field in the rear of the Pollard School the Arthur H. Raymond Field." The town had voted money each year since 1953 to improve and keep up the field for the Billerica Little League. No record of the vote on the article has been found, and nothing more about Arthur H. Raymond himself appears in the town's records.
