Bicknell Forest is a neighborhood in North Billerica on the west side of Bicknell Road. The "Definitive Subdivision Plan of Bicknell Forest, Billerica, Mass.," owned by Elm Realty Trust of Billerica and drawn by K. J. Miller Company, civil engineers and land surveyors, of 106 West Street, Wilmington, is dated July 7, 1965. It was approved by the Planning Board on October 5, 1965 and recorded on January 27, 1966 (Plan Book 103, Plan 49). It laid out the loop of Maverick Circle, part of Nile Street, Patrick Avenue, Munroe Way and Allard Way, in about thirty-seven lots of 20,000 square feet and more, between land of Anthony J. and Elizabeth F. Lavelle, Bicknell Estates and the New England Power Company line.

A "Resubdivision Plan of Land" by E. Conrad Levy & Associates of Lexington, dated June 18, 1966 and recorded on August 16, 1966 (Plan Book 104, Plan 37), redrew the lots, mostly at 15,000 to 24,000 square feet. Most of the houses date from 1966 to 1970.
