Blaney Abbott House

Blaney Abbott House
Address 478 Boston Rd
Built 1850
Demolished 1900

This house's history is difficult to track down, as the deed record doesn't show how it came to be in Blaney Abbott's hands. On the 1853 map, he is shown as the owner, and then it passed into Crosby hands for subsequent maps. Henry Crosby and his step-mother, the widow Mary H. Crosby, lived here for the 1875 and 1889 maps. These two traded ownership of the property back and forth several times. After Mary's death, the Sextons took ownership of the estate and appear to have razed the building and split the lot to add the Frank A. Fitzgerald House.
