General store of James E. and Mary E. Campbell at the corner of Boston Road and Beaumont Avenue in Pinehurst, in the building now known as Campbell's General Store and Post Office, from 1927 to about 1932. It housed the village post office, called the Shawsheen post office until May 1, 1929 and the Pinehurst post office after that, while Mary E. Campbell (acting, 1927) and James E. Campbell (1927 to 1931) were postmasters. It advertised in The Torch in June 1929 as "Campbell's, Pinehurst Post Office, Jenny Station". The directory of 1931 lists "Campbell Jas (Mary), postmstr, h Boston rd, Pinehurst", and that of 1932 "Campbell's General Store, Boston rd (P)". Mary E. Campbell bought the property at a mortgagee's auction in 1930 and sold the store corner in 1945.
