Community Park is a neighborhood in Pinehurst on Community Road and Sesame Street, between Boston Road and Carson Street, laid out on land of the Community Congregational Church of Pinehurst. The church land had been the Frederick A. R. Mixon land, shown in 1892 on the Sheldon and Eames plan. In March 1954 E. P. Simpson, registered land surveyor, drew a "Plan of Land in Pinehurst, Billerica, Mass., entitled Layout of Community Road," which was approved by the planning board on July 14 and recorded on August 4, 1954 (Plan Book 84, Plan 110). It laid out Community Road from Boston Road, past the new church, west to Carson Street, with lots A through I of 15,000 to 20,000 square feet; Harnden's Brook ran along the south. In March 1970 Emmons, Fleming & Bienvenu drew the "Definitive Plan of Section #1, Community Park" for the church, approved on July 7 and recorded on July 8, 1970 (Plan Book 110, Plan 155). It laid out Sesame Street from Community Road north to Carson Street, with lots 1 through 11. The houses on Community Road date from 1952 to 1955, and those on Sesame Street from 1971.
