Daniel Wilson was referred to as "Boss" Wilson in the The Kohlrausch Reminiscences and was clearly an important man in the early "Billerica Mills". He came to Billerica around 1820 and his son Daniel Jr's birth is recorded as 1823.
Daniel Sr. bought the land from the Proprietors of the Middlesex Canal in 1831 and enlarged his holdings in 1832. This house was built in 1848, and was owned by the Talbot Mills after the Wilsons. Eventually, it made its way into the Kohlrausch family in the early 1900s.
