David H. Silva

David H. Silva, known as Dave, was a Billerica firefighter, and the fire-truck themed "Firefighter Dave's Playground" at Kohlrausch Park on Colson Street in North Billerica was built in his memory. He served in the Billerica Fire Department from 2000 until his death on February 5, 2015, in a snowmobile accident, and the town's memorial list for that year records him as an active Billerica fireman.

His family led the fundraising for the playground, a play area designed for preschool children, and with their gifts, other donations and grants it was put up at a community build on the Saturday of Father's Day weekend in 2017. The Silva family led the dedication ceremony there on Father's Day.
