Address 7 Brentham Rd

Built 1915

The Billerica Garden Suburbs was incorporated in 1914. It did not take long before the construction of houses in the subdivision began in earnest. Since the organization employed day labor in the building the homes, it is thought that this slowed the construction process. In any event, the house at 7 Brentham Road was sold, in 1917, to Edward O. Anderson (1896-1988). His parents had emigrated from Sweden. They settled in Lowell where Edward was born. In 1916 he married Amy A. Anderson (1894-1979) also Swedish and from Lowell. At the time of his marriage, he was working as a machinist at the Boston & Maine Railroad Repair shops located a 12-minute walk to the B&M Repair Shop in North Billerica.
