In 1853, Elijah Bacon Hill owned five houses, rounding the corner of Concord Rd. It's possible he occupied none of them. He was married in 1821, and was the son of a moderately prosperous family. He was believed to have been a carpenter, and may have built the five houses (of which this is the only one certainly standing).
