Fox Hill Terrace was a development of house lots laid out on paper in 1907 between Salem Road and Andover Road, east of today's Woodbury Road, and never built. The plan, "Fox Hill Terrace, owned by Theron Porter," dated May 10, 1907, was compiled from a plan by A. L. Eliot, engineer, of Boston, dated November 28, 1904, and recorded on June 14, 1907 (Plan Book 24, Plan 28). A key plan on the sheet shows the tract between the Old Salem Road and the Andover Road, with the Boston and Northern street railway along Andover Road.

The plan divided the ground into well over a thousand lots, most of them 25 feet wide, in three sections. In the northern part, streets including Sunny Street, Highland Street and Turner Street ran south from Salem Street, crossed diagonally by the Old Salem Road, to Pine Grove Avenue, which crossed the tract from west to east; in the southern part Davis Street, Turner Street, Bennet Street, Bowers Street and others ran from Pine Grove Avenue down to Andover Road.

None of the streets was ever built. Their lines survive in the property lines: the long, narrow parcels between Salem Road and Andover Road east of Woodbury Road follow the plan's blocks, the old Salem Road remains as a strip running southeast from Salem Road, and Pine Grove Avenue as a strip running east from the end of Gail Ann Drive. Later building in the tract came only on Allenhurst Road and Dresden Lane and along the main roads.
