Franklin Jaquith, born December 27, 1839, son of Franklin and Lucy (Walker) Jaquith. Mustered August 5, 1862 in the 15th Massachusetts Battery (corporal) and compiled the list of Billerica soldiers and sailors printed in Hazen's History of Billerica. Appointed postmaster July 15, 1867 (as Franklin Jaquith Jr.); later listed as a manufacturer and then a farmer. Selectman 1894-1896; one of the first three Town Hall Sinking Fund Commissioners, chosen in 1894 for one year and re-elected until 1907.
