The house first appears on the 1831 Hales Map, and then on the 1853 Walling Map as "H. Sperry". In the 1870s, it was owned by the Morlacchi sisters, Angelina and renowned ballet dancer, Giuseppina. Giuseppina married actor, Texas Jack Omohundro.
On March 14, 1895, the farmhouse was entirely destroyed by fire.
