James J. Doyle

James J. Doyle, an aviation ordnanceman second class in the United States Naval Reserve, was one of the twenty-nine Billerica men who died in the Second World War. His squadron or ship and the date and place of his death have not been found in the town's records.

His name is on the World War Memorials at the south end of the Town Common, which the town first set up about 1948 as a bronze plaque on a fieldstone boulder and replaced in 2004 with a larger granite memorial listing the five Billerica men who died in the First World War and the twenty-nine who died in the Second.
