Built 1880

One of the several houses built near the Baptist Church after its removal to one of Ann Parker's "Whitman lots" subdivided in 1844.

This one built after Mar. 31, 1846 on 1.5 lots (it straddles the line). The full lot had been sold to Benjamin Knight, minister of the church, but he sold to John Brown in 1845. Brown acquired the adjacent half-lot in 1846.

Brown died just a few years later, and his widow, Abigail was the head of the household. Abigail died presumably without children, as she left the property to her sister, Charity Bridge.

Charity sold it to Charles H. Shed in 1888.
