John C. Hunt
John C. Hunt, a private first class in the United States Army, was one of the Billerica men who died in the Second World War. In 1942 he and his wife, Bernice M. Hunt, were living in North Billerica at the home of Mrs. Beatrice Lynch, and the directory of that year lists him as in the Army. The War Department's Honor List of Dead and Missing for Massachusetts, published after the war, lists him, with the Army serial number 31074901, as killed in action. The date and place of his death have not been found.
His name is among the Second World War dead listed for the World War Memorials on the Town Common, although it is not among the names cut in the granite memorial of 2004.
