Jones' Corner

Jones' Corner, the intersection of Salem Road and Pollard Street, was one the three most well-known corners (along with Brown's Corner and Mason's Corner). While the Corner Bridge was still in operation, it was a major hub of traffic. It was named for Anthony Jones, who owned the former Tavern at the Corner at this intersection.
