Josiah B. Richardson House
In the 1853 map, this house appears as "Preston and Richardson" and later as "J. Richardson". It's posited that these are Marshall Preston and Joel Richardson, with Joel's widow, Abigail occupying the Locke house next door. However, through census data, it would appear more likely this is Josiah Richardson's house, who was the son of Capt. Francis Richardson. Josiah worked with his brother, Francis, as grocers, just south of the Common.
