It's possible that this building was the original Fordway School, moved to this location prior to 1875 in order to make room for the stone building which would become the original Talbot School. Lawrence Gannon converted it into a store. Lawrence died in 1911. His son William had lived in here with his own family, but moved to Pollard Street by 1920.
