Michael Hayes House
The Michael Hayes House was likely constructed about 1919 for Michael Hayes (1863–1931) and his wife, Mary A. Rogers Hayes (1865–1951), on a parcel of land acquired from George E. Stearns in 1919. The couple lived at this address by 1920, when they occupied the dwelling with a boarder named John Muysky (b. 1908). At the time, Michael was employed as a watchman in a car factory. After Michael’s death in 1931, Mary retained ownership of the house for approximately one year. In 1932, she sold the property to Frances A. Rogers.
