Pondover Estate

Pondover Estate is a neighborhood north of Billerica Centre running east from Pond Street toward Andover Road. The plan "Pondover Estate, Billerica, Mass.," owned by Mount Vernon Builders, Inc., and drawn by K. J. Miller Co., civil engineers and land surveyors, of Burlington, on May 9, 1963, was signed by the Planning Board on May 23, 1963 and recorded on June 7, 1963 in three sheets (Plan Book 98, Plan 107); a note says it was drawn from earlier subdivision plans by John F. Mahoney Associates of Danvers. It laid out Pondover Street, now Pondover Road, and the short Rosa Circle on its north side, with lots of about 25,000 to 32,000 square feet. Many of the houses are two-family houses; the oldest date from about 1963.
