Riverside is an early twentieth-century neighborhood in North Billerica on the west bank of the Shawsheen River, south of Boston Road, along Shawsheen Road, Riverside Road, Seminole Road, Woodland Road and Partridge Road. It is registered land, cut from the land of Edgar P. Sellew shown on the plan filed with Certificate of Title 200. Sellew, a civil engineer, drew the "Subdivision of portion of Land shown on plan filed with Cert. of Title No. 200, Middlesex No. Dist. Registry of Deeds, Land in Billerica" on July 19, 1910. The court approved it on January 31, 1911, and it was registered on February 3, 1911 as Land Court Plan 3095-B (Registration Book 2, Page 369). It laid out lots 188 through 280 on Shawsheen Road, which ran south from Boston Road and the Boston and Northern Street Railway, with Oak Road, Meadow Road, Seminole Road, Woodland Road, Partridge Road and Wildwood Road running off it, and Riverside Road along the river, in lots mostly 90 to 100 feet wide; the larger parcels A, B, C and D stayed with Sellew. Many later Land Court plans of case 3095 re-divided these lots. Houses went up slowly, from the 1920s through the 1970s. The west parts of Woodland Road and Partridge Road are in Wyman Heights.
