Rolling Acres is a neighborhood in North Billerica on the west side of Pond Street, just south of Salem Road. It was the house-lot development of James A. Kenney, a building contractor of Arlington who did business as "Rolling Acres" from an office on Pond Street. The "Plan of 'Rolling Acres,' Part 1, Billerica, Mass., owned by James A. Kenney," drawn in April 1951 by James B. Monahan, registered land surveyor, of North Billerica and recorded on July 25, 1951 (Plan Book 80, Plan 67A), laid out Beverly Road from Salem Road and Olive Road from Pond Street, 40 feet wide, with twenty-four house lots of about 9,000 to 11,200 square feet. Kenney's "Plan of Rolling Acres, Part 2," drawn by Monahan in July 1952, conditionally approved by the Planning Board on April 8, 1953 and recorded on April 9, 1953 (Plan Book 82, Plan 159), added Priscilla Lane, with lots of about 9,100 square feet, and a parallel Loretta Road that was never built. The oldest houses date from the early 1950s and most of the rest from 1955 to 1964. The town accepted all three streets on April 3, 1968.
