Sears James Cook House
Sears J. Cook acquired the land in 1878 without buildings, and sold this house he presumably built to the widow Leonora Spaulding and her minor children in what was essentially a "swap". He simultaneously acquired the Spaulding homestead (aka the Solomon Pollard Tavern). Cook's name is more generally associated with the Pollard Tavern, which he and his son and grandson all occupied for many years.
