Thomas Edward is the veteran for whom the intersection of Lexington Road and School Lane in Billerica was proposed as Thomas Edward Square.
The warrant for the annual town meeting of 1956, printed in the town report for 1955, carried Article 116, "to name the intersection of Lexington Road and School Lane 'Thomas Edward Square' in memory of a departed veteran," submitted by William T. Desmond and others. The records found do not say who he was, in which war he served or when he died, and the town report of 1956 does not print the action taken on the article.
