Town Pump and Water Trough
Address River Street Triangle
MACRIS ID BIL.908
Built 1881

The town pump was originally in the center of the intersection of Boston, Andover, and Concord Roads. In 1881, the Billerica Village Improvement Association added the roof and trough. In 1926, it was all moved toward Andover Road as a triangle to improve traffic flow. In the 1980s, that triangle was removed for another new traffic pattern, and the structure was moved to the River St triangle, near the Kohlrausch Fountain.
