Virginia Park is a neighborhood in North Billerica between Pollard Street, Salem Road and the Concord River, on part of the old Jones Corner farm that Rosaline B. Hayden sold in 1953 to Ernest D. Corrigan, trustee of the Fidelity Realty Trust. It was laid out on "Virginia Park, Plan of Land in Billerica, Mass.," drawn by Dana F. Perkins and Sons, Inc., civil engineers and surveyors, of Reading, dated May 28, 1953, approved by the Planning Board on August 10, 1953 and recorded on August 13, 1953 (Plan Book 83, Plan 48). The plan shows about fifty lots, most of about 10,000 square feet, on Hayden Road and Hayden Circle; only the straight part of Hayden Road was built, and the western arm toward the river remained a paper street. The first houses date from 1953 to 1958, and the town accepted both streets in 1956.
