Watts House
The lesser of two "towered" Victorian homes on Andover Road.
When John O. Richardson bought the land in 1877, he was proprietor of an active sawmill in East Billerica. He and his successors built several houses in Billerica Center ca.1890/1900. Garrit Bennink was master carpenter of at least some of them. It is not clear whether Richardson had this house built for himself, then thought better and moved on to no. 42, or whether he built it on spec. At any rate, the later Watts family had a longer association with the house (ca.50 years) and their name is assigned to it.
