William J. Regan
William J. Regan
William J. Regan, a machinist's mate first class in the United States Navy, was one of the Billerica men who died in the Second World War. The memorial gives his name as "Regan, William J. USN MM1c"; the library's list of the names spells it Reagan. The date and place of his death have not been found.
His name is on the World War Memorials at the south end of the Town Common, which the town first set up about 1948 as a bronze plaque on a fieldstone boulder and replaced in 2004 with a larger granite memorial listing the five Billerica men who died in the First World War and twenty-eight of those who died in the Second.
