The Susan Rogers House stood on the west side of the Boston Road just south of Charnstaffe Lane, on land that had been part of the widow Hannah Patten's six-acre homestead between the road and the Concord River. After her death in 1827 her executor sold the homestead to Alexander B. Sumner, who mortgaged it to Blaney Abbot, and Abbot sold it off in pieces. In April 1839 the joiner Arza Page bought the acre at the corner of the lane, and on March 3, 1840 he bought a second acre directly south of it for $200. The same day he mortgaged the two acres "with a dwelling house thereon" to Dr. Zadok Howe. By November 1846 there were "two dwelling houses" on the two acres. In 1852 a mortgage counted "three dwelling houses and out buildings" on Page's three acres. Page sold the corner house in 1853 (see Arza Page House) and kept the one to the south as "my homestead place". In 1861 he recorded a homestead declaration for "one acre more or less" with the buildings, "the same conveyed to me by Blaney Abbot March 3d 1840".
Page carried several mortgages on the homestead. In December 1862 Dudley Foster, who held the 1856 mortgage given to Alden B. Richardson, made a formal entry to foreclose it. Two weeks later, on January 13, 1863, Page's wife Elizabeth bought up that mortgage and the three others on the place. They were assigned "to her sole and separate use free from the control or interference of her husband". When Arza Page died in February 1868 the homestead was not part of his estate, whose real estate was appraised at only $306.50. Elizabeth moved to Stockton, California, where two of her daughters lived. In 1872 she sold the place, "with a dwelling house and barn thereon", for $2,300 to Susan Rogers of Woburn, wife of O. C. Rogers. The 1875 map shows Oliver Rogers here. Susan Rogers left the house by will to Oliver C. Rogers, and in 1888 he sold it for $3,400 to Lucinda Tufts, wife of Joseph B. Tufts. The 1889 map labels the house "J. Tufts".
After Lucinda Tufts died, her executor sold the house at auction in August 1902 to Clara E. Sexton for $2,000. In April 1903 Sexton sold it to William T. Carr, keeping for herself an eight-foot strip along the north line. Carr and his wife Minnie took title as tenants by the entirety in 1927. After Minnie's death her sons Burton F. and William M. Carr inherited the house, and in 1944 William bought his brother's half. In 1948 William and Elsie Carr sold it to Oscar A. and Athelia M. Ericson of Woburn. In 1950 the Ericsons had the land surveyed into Lot A, 1.24 acres with the house and 188 feet on the Boston Road, and a smaller Lot B to the north (Plan Book 78, Plan 77). Oscar Ericson died in 1961, and in 1965 his widow sold Lot A to private owners.
The house was known in its last years as "Ye Old Country Kitchen". By 1972 the owners were planning a restaurant on the lot, and about 1975 the old house was replaced by a Burger King. In January 2007 the lot was sold for $1,050,000 to Billerica Four, LLC, which built the present Town Fair Tire store, and in December 2024 the property passed to Town Fair Billerica Corp for $1,900,000.

Title from the March 1, 1965 deed of the widow Athelia M. (Ericson) Christenson, by which Lot A, 1.24 acres "with the buildings thereon", passed to private owners; in 1972 they obtained a zoning variance for a sign advertising "a restaurant he plans to build". The old house came down for the Burger King restaurant of about 1975; the Town Fair Tire building followed in 2007. Billerica Four Associates LLC sold to Town Fair Billerica Corp in December 2024.
