Merrimack Valley Forum
The Merrimack Valley Forum was an indoor ice skating rink on Brick Kiln Road in North Billerica, at the Chelmsford line. It was built and opened in 1964 by Merrimack Valley Sports Arena, Inc., which bought the land from the town that July, and was owned from 1966 by Nogara Investment Corp. Billerica sixth graders took skating lessons there in the school physical education program from 1964. The rink was sold to the Commonwealth for the University of Lowell in 1980, but the Polk directory of 1985 still listed the Merrimack Valley Forum, "indoor skating rink," with Matthew J. Brown as president. It was later known as the Tully Forum and is now the Chelmsford Forum.
