The Nuttings Lake Airdome was an open-air moving picture theatre on Lake Street at Nuttings Lake, on the lakeshore lots just above the corner of the Middlesex Turnpike, in the summer resort of camps and cottages that grew up around the lake after 1910. Thomas W. McCabe bought lots 203 and 204 of the 1910 plan of Nuttings Lake Park in September 1921, two narrow lots running from Lake Street down to the water.
The 1925 directory lists the Nuttings Lake Airdome on Lake Street under theatres, and the town licensed an "Open Air Theatre" for $5 in 1926 and 1927; in 1929 it collected fees from two theatres and one moving picture show. The 1931 directory lists the Airdome, "moving pictures, Lake at Nuttings Lake," with Thomas McCabe of Dorchester as its proprietor. The town still licensed one moving picture show in 1932, but the Airdome does not appear in the later directories. The lots later became part of the property of the Lakeside Lounge, which bought lots 203 to 206 in 1976.
