Georgiana Road
Georgiana Road is a small neighborhood on Georgiana Road, a dead end running west from Salem Road, on land of Forrest F. Collier. Merrill A. Brown, civil engineer of Carlisle, drew a "Plan of Land in Billerica, Mass., owned by Forrest F. Collier" on September 20, 1947, dividing the Collier frontage on Salem Road into three long lots of 3.6 to 4.35 acres running back to Trout Brook; it was recorded on December 10, 1951 (Plan Book 81, Plan 110). Brown's plan of August 1949, recorded on August 31, 1949 (Plan Book 76, Plan 32, sheet B), cut lots 1A through 1F, of 15,000 to 28,500 square feet, along a private way on the north side of lot 2, with land of E. H. Emerson to the north. That private way is now Georgiana Road. Collier also developed Holden Heights with Brown. A few houses date from about 1950, but most were built from the 1960s to the 1980s.
