Lawrence B. Gannon House

Lawrence B. Gannon was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, about 1828 and came to this country with his parents. He married Catherine Quinlan in 1862 and they had 6 children together. Lawrence worked in the mills as a spinner and eventually an overseer. The "store" next door was the family's first home, and then this house was built some time between 1875 and 1889 in the same lot. Lawrence's daughters Hannah and Henrietta lived here up through 1950 at least.
