Sherwood Forest is a neighborhood in East Billerica on Little John Drive, off Baldwin Road. The "Definitive Plan of Sherwood Forest, Billerica, Mass.," owned by Carl C. Tirone and drawn by Emmons & Fleming, Inc., engineers and surveyors, of Billerica, is dated March 1964 and recorded in Plan Book 100, Plan 163. It laid out Little John Drive in lots of about 30,000 square feet, between land of Roberts Homes, Inc., the developer of Castlewood East with its Robin Hood Lane, and land of the Ferren family, later Ferren Park. The street names come from the Robin Hood legend.

The "Definitive Subdivision of Ferren Park, Billerica, Mass.," owned by Carpenter Realty Trust and drawn by Robert P. Morris & Associates of 21 Carter Street, Tewksbury, is dated September 17, 1969. It was approved by the Planning Board on February 5, 1970 and recorded on March 13, 1970 in two sheets (Plan Book 110, Plan 48). It laid out about twenty lots of 30,000 square feet on both sides of Ferren Drive, between the back lots of Sherwood Forest and land of Eldora Ferren, for whose family the street is named. The houses date from about 1966 to 1972.
