Dolan's Store
Dolan's Store was the original name of the store at 509 Middlesex Turnpike, on the southwesterly side of the Middlesex Turnpike at the shore of Nuttings Lake, beside the Dolan family's dance hall and roller rink at Water Street. The building stood on the Dolan homestead, which Johanna Dolan and her son Francis J. Dolan held from 1910; the assessor dates it to about 1910. Alice M. Dolan, Francis's widow, sold the store to Edward L. and Edna M. MacLennan in December 1952, and by then it was MacLennan's Turnpike Market.
