Daniel and Elizabeth (Lyons) Mahoney, Irish immigrants, had nine children recorded in Billerica between 1853 and 1870. On Christmas Day 1871, Daniel died, six months after the death of his infant son, Daniel Jr. In 1905, the Talbot Mills acquired the house.
