Wall Street
Wall Street is a private drive in Technology Park, the office and research park developed by the Gutierrez Company in South Billerica. It leaves Technology Park Drive and runs about 900 feet east-northeast through the park toward Route 3, where it meets the campus drive mapped as Old Concord Road. It is not one of the ways of the park's 1982 definitive plan (Plan Book 139, Plan 29), which laid out Technology Park Drive alone.
The drive served land that Technology Park Realty Trusts I and II, whose trustees were Arturo J. Gutierrez and Norman Traverse, sold in December 1987 for $500,000 to Technology Park X Limited Partnership, a partnership of the Gutierrez Company: a parcel on the west side of Route 3 bounded north by the Boston and Maine Railroad, and Parcel C of the 1982 plan, with rights in Technology Park Drive. The partnership gave its own address as One Wall Street, Burlington, the Gutierrez Company's office. On October 5, 1988 the Board of Health granted it a variance to build a private wastewater treatment plant at "One Wall Street, Technology Park, Billerica," and the registry indexes a 1990 Board of Appeals decision for the partnership and Bull HN Information Systems under 2 Wall Street. In 2012 the Board of Appeals allowed new directory and directional signs "throughout the park to make travel through the park easier," at "600, 880, 1000-1200 Technology Park Drive, Wall Street, Concord Road at Technology Park Drive."
The name matches the Gutierrez Company's Burlington address, but no record was found saying that the drive was named for it. The assessors list no property on Wall Street today; the buildings beside it are numbered on Technology Park Drive, the nearest, 700 Technology Park Drive, dating from 1986. Wall Street has never been a public way, and the town reports do not mention it.
