Salem Acres

Salem Acres is a small subdivision on the north side of Salem Road, about 1,000 feet east of Richards Street, along Strawberry Lane. The "Section 2, Salem Acres, Definitive Subdivision Plan of Land in Billerica, Mass., prepared for Gara Realty Trust," drawn by Fleming, Bienvenu & Associates, Inc., of Billerica, dated October 16, 1984 and revised February 20, 1985, was recorded on July 23, 1985 (Plan Book 149, Plan 23). It shows Strawberry Lane running from Salem Road to a turnaround between four lots of 50,000 to 62,000 square feet; its locus map places Section 1 of Salem Acres near Ironwood Street and Sumac Street. The four houses were built in 1988, and Presidential Development Corporation of Wilmington sold the first of them in February 1988.
