Francis E. Richardson
Francis E. Richardson
Francis E. Richardson was a trader at Billerica Centre and a nephew of Capt. William Richardson. In 1848 he bought back his uncle's old house on Boston Road, the Capt. William Richardson House, and kept the store and the post office there for half a century, borrowing on the house again and again until his last mortgage was foreclosed in 1904. The 1874 Massachusetts Register lists him among the town's retail grocers. His wife was Eliza M. Richardson.
